Home Remodel Summary
The Base Camp

The Base Camp, outdoor wear retail space evolved from an old local movie theater in the heart of downtown Helena, MT.  The existing structure consisted of sloped floorings for theatre seating.  To convert this space into retail use, walls were demolished, gravels were shot into the building and a new slab-on-grade was poured.  Structural upgrades were required and asbestos was discovered within the vermiculite cells of the cmu block, which required certified abatement.  A new membrane roof system, new facade to the north side of the building, along with an ADA accessible entrance was included in this project.  The project’s location made the overall remodel project complex for parking, staging, public safety and overall access to the site.  This was a bid/build job completed on time and within budget.
