Annually over the last five years Diamond has been contracted with the General Services
Division (GSD) at the State Capitol Complex to complete sidewalk remediation for
compliance with ADA codes. This complex is aged and there are various existing forms
of construction. Each situation is unique with retaining walls or vaults under the
sidewalks. It was often asked that we provide traffic control for alternate routes
of access to the buildings during our work scope. We always take into account patron
and employee safety as we take on each project site as design rarely provides such.
Our Project Superintendent, Mr. Ken Hanson, typically works hand in hand with Mr.
Joe Norris, the Engineer from GSD, to create viable solutions for each project site,
while meeting local, state and federal ADA accessibility requirements. Our success
with this client can be attributed to the repeat business we experience annually.
We enjoy serving GSD and look forward, each year, to new challenges presented and
opportunities of additional work.
