Home Public Work Summary
Lewis & Clark Caverns

This project consisted of the construction of the new Visitor’s Center for patrons, which included the demolition of the existing visitor center as well as the addition of a maintenance building for the upkeep of the entire historical area.  The overall construction of the new visitor’s center was showcased by the open glulam beam construction.  This project had a critical path schedule to minimize the impact to the tourist season.  One critical construction item on this project was a Level II septic system which was by Eliminite.  This system was to support the high volume of restroom use, which was a key factor to the overall upgrade of the Visitor’s Center.  This project began in inclement weather and ended as the tourist season began.  There were construction activities on the maintenance building concurrent to patrons visiting the area.
