The Lima Rest Area project was a design/build project for the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in Lima, Montana. The project involved several different areas of work. The site work included re-aligning the public street leading to the new facility, removing existing improvements, supplying a level II wastewater and water system, a 1,000 gallon underground propane tank, four picnic shelters, parking for 32 cars and 18 semi-trailer trucks was all provided by Diamond’s team. The exterior of the building is split faced concrete block, a standing seam metal roof, and glazing to provide adequate natural lighting to the space. The interior of the building contains a lobby, eight ADA toilet rooms, a mechanical room, and a storage room. All of which were constructed of ground face block walls, gypsum wallboard ceiling, and a quarry tile floor.
