Shodair Children's Hospital
20 Bed Acute Unit Addition
Helena, Montana

The Children’s Hospital added a 20 Bed Acute Addition to the existing facility built by Diamond Construction, Inc., DCI, in 1996.  DCI provided the lead contractor role, with responsibilities including concrete foundation, structural steel and steel deck, steel stud framing, insulation, GWB, painting and finishes.  The design of the project resulted in ten (10) foot concrete foundation walls and a steel deck and joist system for the second floor.  DCI was also challenged to take on the excavation and backfill work on the project, to assist the owner in maintaining the schedule.  This project had a compresses timeline that required attention to detail by all involved.

Since this projects’ completion, Diamond has assisted Shodair in a variety of projects: restoration work due to water damage, interior nurse’s station, corridor upgrade project, and an exterior playground project.  This client exemplifies our goal of becoming “your contractor of choice for life.”
