The Stahly building is a great addition to the East Highway 12 corridor entering Helena.
The facility is a mix of a smaller one level and a two-story building that totals 8,300 square feet. The single story portion of the building was constructed as a shell with finish construction only on the two story portion. This is wood framed construction, on a standard concrete foundation. Over excavation was required do to undesirable soil conditions. The exterior facade is a balance of painted Hardi panel siding and stacked stone veneer, and is accented with a heavy timber entry. The unique addition to this building involved stained and patterned concrete floors with Stahly’s logo etched into the concrete.
Site work and excavation started August 15, 2004 and the Building Permit received was September 22, 2004. The Project was complete in approximately six months from start of excavation by February 15, 2005. Temporary occupancy was achieved February 18, 2005 and the permanent Certificate of Occupancy was received May 30, 2005. This allowed for exterior work, such for items such as landscaping to be accomplished in reasonable weather.
