This Town Pump is located just off the new Custer Interchange in Helena, MT. A total of 22,000 cubic yards of fill was hauled into the site to raise the footprint of the building up to meet the new roadway and create visibility for the interstate.

This was a project that began during inclement weather when the ground was frozen. We were teamed with a dirt subcontractor who removed the frozen soil with a 200 excavator. They then hauled in structural fill and placed the new material in lifts, and covered the work daily with a blanket of loose fill for protection from frost.
The building structure was comprised as a combination of structural steel and wood framed construction. As with all projects for Town Pump, the schedule, coordination with their sourced trades and cost are all critical to this client. We were on time and within the budget.
